"Great hotel conveniently located with an excellent breakfast! For dinner we went to the restaurant next door and it was delicious. It’s part of the hotel but you access from the outside. Comfortable rooms with a great bathtub and shower. Slept so well and would definitely return!"

"We had an amazing stay at the hotel. Room was very spacious and came with a bottle of sparkling wine and free use of the mini bar. Staff was very friendly and parking was conveniently connected to the hotel. "

"I liked the updated rooms. Breakfast was good. It was easy and convenient to take the bus downtown Würzburg. I had to go to the Uniklinik which was a quick walk. The people working were all outstanding and super friendly! Great trip "

"A tall modern hotel near the train station - it is one stop more or less on a tram from the train station, and close enough to walk unless you have oppressive amounts of baggage. Nice breakfast, but not much in the way of dining around that I saw. There was a Lidl across the street where you can get inexpensive food to eat in your room. Downtown Wuerzburg is a few stops away on the tram to the Juliuspromenade stop. The 4 stop ticket for 1.50 euros will cover that. "

"I stayed at the Barthels for two nights, arriving after a very long drive and immediately being able to relax. It’s clean, modern, and comfortable and in an incredible location right in the heart of the old town of Würzburg - I could see the cathedral dome right outside my window! Despite that, it wasn’t noisy and I wasn’t ever woken up to the sound of church bells chiming or street noise. There’s no parking at the hotel but there are so many car parks nearby it wasn’t a problem, and I enjoyed the walk across the Old Bridge every morning to the place I’d chosen to park. The staff were friendly and the overall vibe was great. Würzburg is a pretty city and The Barthels was the perfect base to explore it from."
