We spent 2 nights at Hotel Rappen recently and it was walkable from the train station, which was very helpful.The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed it. The hotel itself was adequate, but not more. It lacked warmth and charm and felt like a high end hostel. The dining room for breakfast looked nothing like the restaurant pictured in the ad. It was impossible to get a cup of tea or coffee in the evening without walking to a gas station; there was no in-room set up and the hotel didn’t offer any, even for purchase.

I love this hotel. Gives the old town German feel but is nice, clean and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was great and the restaurant is delicious. I hope to return one day!

Good hotel for the cost, especially if you're coming with your own car (parking was included and right behind the hotel). Dated rooms, but comfortable. Our room was in a corner of two major streets and the noise was unbearable, got not sleep, and had to use ear plugs the following nights. If you're noise sensitive, I recom to get ask for a room away from the street. The staff were wonderful overall. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and delicious, great deal for being included with the cost of the room. Our room did not have a coffee maker, but that was fine.

Fantastic location just outside the city wall. We were just steps away from the medieval heart of Rothenburg, and everything was withing easy walking distance. The room was spacious and modern (maybe a bit too modern--ask how the lights work before you get trapped in pitch black room). Breakfast was excellent. Overall, very enjoyable and we would stay there again.

The room that we were supposed to have that was large had everything we wanted did not have good air conditioning. The room with a good air conditioning was not that suitable just basic room if air conditioning is not a problem. It’s a great hotel.
