"Ok, so it's not the Ritz but it is in a great location for the Christmas market (the reason for our visit). There is a tram stop out the front making travel to other Vienna must sees very easy. The cafe over the road has great gnocchi and there is a convenience store a few shops away. If you need somewhere clean, comfy and convenient Pension Vera is great. "

"I had a double room with kitchenette and balcony. It was spacious, quiet, clean and right by the opera house. I was visiting for music so perfectly placed in the centre of town. It’s an old fashioned pension which I love - not for those who want a modern hotel room which could be anywhere. "The location can't be beat! The rooms were clean, modern, and had thoughtful touches like a bottle of water, snacks, and coffee. The lift was broken when we arrived, which made dragging our luggage up 4 flights of stairs pretty miserable. They did fix it two days later so that was good. "
