"A great house to stay in with friends or family! We loved sharing dinner on the deck/verandah together whilst the kids ran around the garden or played in the cubby/slide. We saw a Koala on a tree in the garden and had stunning views! Kitchen/bathrooms all modern and clean, excellent working order. Only thing is a bedside light would’ve been handy in the kids room but next time we go away we will pack our night lights! Lovely holiday in a wonderful place, we enjoyed nearby beach and pub too....

"The house is quite old. The cleaning is terrible. Many of the dishes were filthy. It's a little difficult to get there. The entry is unmarked. Sea Eagle Retreat may have been the name of this property. The entrance had that board.Numerous light globes and the kitchen fan were not functioning. One of the primary TVs is unable to function. "We loved staying at the mud brick cottage. Absolutely gorgeous home and surrounding views of garden and forest. Lots of native birds feeding on the lawn and we spotted a koala walking across the lawn too. There’s no other heating apart from a couple of small oil heaters in the bedrooms and the fireplace. "We are 4 members of one family in Port Campbell to bury our father/ grandfather.We needed a fuss free and peaceful environment in which to prepare and then ‘come down.’ from our emotional farewell.We loved the rabbits and my German daughter in law was tickled going ‘ out the back’ to the bathroom.Thanks to the lovely owners who provided many extras and tips for eateries and good coffee(provided).I will tell my friends and highly recommend the cottage….not to mention the lovely beds!!"

"Beautifully designed, very private cabin with an imperious view to the west across rainforest, coastal heath and the shipwreck coast. My 12 yo loved the outdoor bath. Alister and Caroline were full of good tips about tracks to forgotten beaches and rainforest drives. Perfect for day trips to 12 Apostles, etc. Highly recommended getaway for adventurous romantics. "
