Home is located in the very desirable Sand Dollar Beach community; away from the bar scene. This is the perfect spot for families or a romantic getaway. You will be less than 200 paces to sand and surf down our paved and gently sloping community beach access footpath.

The home is a real gem; remodeled in 2018 and located just 6 houses from sand and surf. Beautiful high vaulted ceilings, magnificent giant fireplace and over 2,100 square feet of living space. You will love how bright and airy this home is; providing both large open spaces, as well as cozy nooks for private reading and relaxing.

The reverse floor-plan, provides views of the ocean from kitchen, family room and master bedroom. A second 'bonus' area located downstairs provides a great escape for the children or peaceful relaxation spot.

In addition, a spacious outdoor deck is a great place to relax, enjoy a fine meal at the outdoor dining table, take in the ocean view or simply enjoy the ocean's breeze.


The home is stocked with the latest amenities and kitchen necessities. This lovely home is very spacious, comfortably sleeps 9. (one king, one queen, two twins, one full futon, plus a single roll-a-way bed)

Really enjoyable stay
The location is amazing - a short walk to the beach and to nature trails. The home is very cozy, with good ameneties and a great view. Great option for a family and plenty of kitchen supplies to cook at the house. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and the host responded quickly. Would recommend this VRBO to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Amazing Beach
Our girls trip was a huge success! We enjoyed the beach access and the long stretch of walkable sand. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed to cook for a group. This house is close enough to Santa Cruz and Capitola for day trips or a nice dinner out. I recommend this house for groups of 6 or less.

Beach Escape
The house perfect, the neighborhood was very quiet and you can hear the ocean while relaxing in the living room. You are within in minutes of an abundance of activities and restaurants. We will be visiting again soon. I recommend a visit to the Apple Cafe delicious food.

Wonderful home in La Selva with scenic ocean views! Comfortable and close to the beach and neighboring cities. Fully furnished and appointed for a wiry free stay. Property owners were very accommodating to our early arrival request. Great communication.

Great Family Stay
We stayed here for a belayed family Easter trip with our family and had an amazing time. The house was very clean and spacious for everyone to enjoy. The second floor patio has beautiful views of the ocean and the beach is a short walk down a steep street and set of stairs. The kids loved walking on the beach in the mornings and looking for shells, which were plentiful. The location is a little further from shops/restaurants but makes up for it by its proximity to the beach. Overall it was a great stay!

Loved our stay here. Beautiful deck with a view of the water from afar. Very well equipped kitchen. The photos don’t do it justice. It was wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and a short walk to the beach each day. Lovely home.

Loved listening to the sounds of the ocean in the comfort of this home. It's a little walk down to the beach, albeit hilly, but not too difficult for the young at heart. If you need to drive older ones, it's only 5 min or less to the other beach access. Very relaxing time!

Great beach house!
Great spot for a family beach getaway! The house was clean and very spacious(the living area is bigger than it appears in pictures). Layout was great for two small families. The adults had the bedrooms and the kids bunked in the twin room (extra rollaway in the closet was awesome). Kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and servingware which was appreciated. Would definitely rent again!

What a wonderful place for a girls weekend! We have been friends for over 40 years. The property was spotless, very comfortable, beautiful view and easy walk to beach. Would love to come back again. The drip coffee pot was not working well. The keruig was perfect. Plenty of dishes and pots and pans to make excellent meals. Joe was very responsive to questions.

First time in Santa Cruz
My niece and her husband were visiting from OR. Perfect spot located between Monterey, and Santa Cruz. And Only a couple blocks from its own beautiful semi private beach. We were able to spend a day in Monterey, a day in Santa Cruz, and one chilling at the beach house. The house was perfect. Clean and comfy. I definitely recommend this home.

The absolute best home we have ever stayed in because of the host!
Joe is the kindest, most communicative and patient host we have ever come across. The check in process was perfect as he put on the outside lights due to our flights being delayed several hours. The home was well equipped with food, beach supplies, and hygiene essentials. He also provided quick flexibility for checking out later than the usual time and responding almost instantly. He’s a true mensch.

Lovely
Very lovely spacious home. Very clean. Quiet neighborhood and everyone was friendly. The homeowner has a lot of things to make your stay easy and fun. Lots of beach toys, towels, kitchen items, blankets, foosball players, charcoal grill, and gas grill. We were able to come in worry-free. Grocery stores and restaurants are just a hop, skip, and a jump away. The only complaint we had was where the beach was. In the pictures and description, it seems closer than it is. There is a nice walk patch to get there, but it is very steep in some areas. We did have one person in our party that was not able to walk the steep path as easily. However, I was able to text the homeowner and he offered a solution right away. Very responsive! Would stay there again!!!
