Good place to stay. Stayed in off season, so a number of restaurants were closed. Upside is there were a lot of tourists. Came for the scenery and the wildlife. Didn’t disappoint.

Seamless check-in with friendly staff. Very clean rooms, comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen. One thing I found that could be improved upon was lighting. A bright lamp or two would compensate for low lighting especially in the kitchen area. Hard to see when cooking or using the kitchen area. Maybe other rooms are better lite, I don’t know!

Quite and cozy mountain lodge. Room was a mix of new and old charm. Wish they had a fireplace that could actually be used but other then that was great and will definitely stay again

We love Waterton and we love staying at the Crandell! The only suggestion I’d make is that the beds are high ul (ours was anyway) and could maybe do with a little stool beside them so short people like me with mobility issues can get up onto the bed easier. It wasn’t impossible and this isn’t really a complaint, only a suggestion. Other than that…everything was just perfect! We will see you again in March!

I no longer fear hell and it’s incredible heat because our room was hot and even with an open window in December, it was stifling. When noted at the front desk, the agent indicated that the heat control is near the fireplace. Our room did not have a fireplace!

Room was quite nice and well maintained, cups and kitchen tools were dirty which was kind of a bummer as I arrived at dinner time and had to clean things. Staff were helpful in bringing me a second kettle as the ones in the room needed a deep clean. Beautiful views

We took a look at the room and left immediately, it was extremely dated and dirty. Floor tiles were loose and not fitted propery and floor had not been washed properly. Pictures on the web did not look anything like room. Room looked like it was last updated in 1970. We left, drove back to Pincher Creek and got a room at a decent hotel. Did not and would not stay here, EVER!

Loved my stay at Crandell. Yes, the rooms are on the small side, yes the deck needs to be painted, yes it’s not the most soundproof hotel, none of that bothered me. I knew that I was going to be staying in the off season so there were less people staying at the lodge and I didn’t have to worry about too much noise, there was always parking and I was always able to get a seat at the three restaurants that are still open this time of year (2 at Kilmorey across the street and the Italian restaurant 3 blocks away at Glacier Suites). I also didn’t have to fight for parking spots at the local popular trailheads. Things I loved about Crandell Mountain Lodge and why I would definitely stay there again: - Because you check in at Kilmorey across the street, there is no lobby or people to watch you come and go. It’s an apartment style lodge built in the 40s and, other than the other guests coming and going staying in your section, you may not see anyone else. It feels more like a private living space. - Location was awesome. - The pub and lamppost restaurant are right across the street and have very good food. The bison blue cheese burger and the chicken pot pie was the best pot pie I’ve ever had. - Appreciated the little things like some great caffeine free options for tea along with the traditional in room caffeinated tea and coffee choices. - the soak tub for my salt bath after a long hike. - no tv but WiFi worked great so I could stream without issues.

Stayed in a nicely renovated room with good amenities. Comfortable and clean. Blew a breaker one morning, no breaker panel in the room. Hotel staff couldn’t reach the maintenance crew. Mildly irritating as it meant using extension cords for some basic things like making coffee. I hate to complain, but doing without electrical outlets for 3 days of stay is frustrating when it takes all of 2 seconds to flip a breaker back on. P.S. - Parking lines would be nice. Had to load from the street because 3 vehicles were using 5 spots.

Nice and cozy
The room was small and cozy. Was good for the couple nights we stayed. Wish the toilet wouldn’t have been right next to a built out wall. Was a little uncomfortable to use.
