My husband and I travel quite frequently, and enjoy staying in upscale places...in other words, I am very fussy, and we generally avoid historic properties. However we did enjoy staying in the paradores of Spain last year so decided to try the Manoir Maplewood. It did not disappoint: very clean and well kept inside and out, warm yet professional staff, thoughtful amenities such as nespresso coffee maker, refrigerator in rooms, modern bathroom, and soothing cream /white walls as well as furniture which was all tastefully finished in a beige linen fabric. An excellent breakfast was served in a glassed-in porch with sparkling clean windows overlooking the garden.
