"We had had two very nice nights’ stay at the Fleece as part of a tour of Hadrian’s wall. The pub/hotel has been refurbished to a high standard with quality materials, joinery and fittings. We stayed in a superior room that was very well maintained and much larger than we expected. We ate breakfast both mornings. There was a buffet (cereals, juice, toast, pastries, yoghurt, etc.) and a good range of dishes cooked to order. Dinner was also excellent with a good choice, high quality food and very good service. The staff on the first day were extremely good - professional, experienced and attentive. The second day there were different staff who were less professional and less experienced, but it didn’t spoil the stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend it. "

"It is easily accessible I'm disabled and in a wheelchair but everything is accessible. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I enjoy the shopping areas of Carlisle and its so easily from the hotel."
