A Framed Oasis on the Pamlico River

Looking for the perfect getaway? Coming to town for a wedding, family reunion or graduation? Look no further! Our house sits steps away from the beautiful Pamlico River. Enjoy the decks on all 4 sides of the house. You will see the perfect sunrise and sunset from one of the widest spots on the Pamlico. Our fun spot is located 10 miles from Downtown Washington, 3 miles from Washington Yacht & Country Club, 15 miles from Bath and 25 miles from Greenville. Enjoy our bikes, kayak, floats, and sunfish sailboat. Our sandy beach makes it very easy to launch the kayak or sunfish. No need to pack up all the chairs....we have that covered, as well. Great outdoor shower.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need. I am a frequent traveler and love staying in VRBO's! I have taken lots of notes over the past several years and now I am bringing you a little slice of heaven here in beautiful Washington, North Carolina. Yes, it's okay to call it "Little Washington" if that's what you prefer.

Please note.... we can only allow 7 people on the property at any given time.

First Floor: Den, Kitchen, 2 bedrooms ( Double Beds) and bathroom. French doors access the deck from the den, kitchen, and both bedrooms. The bathroom on the first floor has shower/bathtub combination. No problem bathing the little ones. Pack and Play and high chair located in the closet.
Second Floor: Master Bedroom (queen bed) Small bedroom (cutest twin bed, ever). The small bedroom has a set of french doors that open up to a small deck. The walkway on the second floor leads you to french doors that has a small balcony overlooking the Pamlico. Breathtaking views!

I especially love sitting under the house during the heat of the summer. There seems to always be a breeze. There is a hammock to enjoy and a large picnic table where you can enjoy lunch. If you have a boat that you want to bring, please contact me. You can leave a boat in the canal beside the house, but worthy of a discussion.

A large table with 6 chairs and 2 bistro tables with 4 chairs are located on the upstairs deck.

Oh.....what about fishing and crabbing? We have 4 fishing poles, crabbing string, nets, and of course....a bucket for all those crabs and fish that we hope you catch off the pier. Don't think we have any fancy fishing equipment, we don't. Just the fun basics.

This house has been part of the family for 23 years! My grown kids will not let me sell it so it's time to let others enjoy it!

Wonderful getaway - a treasure for family vacation!
Everything about our stay here was stellar. The host was exceptional, and the home was as well appointed as our family home with games, linens, kitchen ware, and spaces to hang out and rest. Being on the water was peaceful, and we were close enough to town and activities to entertain small children for several days.

This was our second time staying at the A Framed Oasis on the Pamlico River, and the second visit was even better than our first - which was wonderful! The home and amenities are even nicer than advertised, and Tracy is an excellent host. We are already looking forward to staying there again next year!

AFO=Amazing Family Outing
Tracy was the hostess with the mostest. Her communication, Unlimited amenities, beautifully decorated lake home, and location was so perfect. AFO was one of the best VRBO properties my family has stayed at. We are in love with this area, so many things to do. We will def be back to this property.

Outstanding Oasis
Wonderful stay on the Pamlico! House was beautiful and time at the river could not be beat. House is beautifully furnished and beds are super comfortable. Quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Plenty to do close by but we enjoyed the big deck and fishing and crabbing from the dock that we were content spending most of out visit at the house. Thanks Tracy for a great week!

Amazing property! House is immaculate. Tracy is a fantastic host - super responsive and knowledgeable about the area. We caught multiple crabs off the pier every morning with the brand new crab pots and rented a boat for the day from one of the neighbors. House has plenty of room and everything you need for a relaxing vacation!

Quick thoughts
We came to Washington to celebrate a wedding. The Bride provided us with a golf cart so the house was in a perfect location for us; Cute place and lovely view. Only downside that wasn't shared ahead of booking was construction nextdoor that was quiet loud on the weekdays.

A Memorable Family Vacation
We were looking for a socially distanced getaway for our family vacation this year, and this was it. We so enjoyed our visit to "little" Washington, and our stay in Tracy's home. The river view was amazing, and the home was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed rides on the kayak and sunfish sailboat, fishing, floating in the water, and dinners on the deck. She thought of everything, including a fully equipped kitchen, spices, coffee, beach towels, recent magazines, etc. It was very peaceful, and very family friendly.

We didn't want to leave!
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this home. Loved the big deck with lots of seating, the pier, the kayak, the hammock. Inside, the couch was comfortable, beds were extra comfortable, and there was a nice selection of games available to use. When it got too chilly & windy outside, we loved looking out the large living room windows at the water. We decided against using the sunfish because the wind was just too strong the day we would have wanted to try it out ... so I guess we'll just have to come back sometime!

Perfect Getaway!
Beautiful house with an amazing view. From the deck, you almost feel like you are on a boat in the water! Inside, the home is beautifully decorated, spotless, and comfortable. There were lots of nice touches, like cold water bottles in the fridge, plenty of coffee choices, and a snack bag. Outside: kayak, life jackets, deck chairs, gas grill - everything was there. Tracy was very accommodating and responsive. We planned this as a "work-cation" but ended up staying longer for a true vacation. We hope to come back when the weather is warmer and we can jump in the river.
