"The little cabin is clean and cozy. I struggled with the pillows but other than that it was nice. There is a keurig coffee pot but no coffee cups. I am big on a porch lights, but no front lights. This made it difficult to see key pad. I was surprised of how secluded the place is, so if you like privacy, you defiantly have it. The view of the mountains is beautiful."

"Cool listing! An old converted boiler room of a rural school. In a mountain valley so didn't have cell signal for calls, but I was able to text and check email etc when connecting my phone to the wifi. Full bathroom and equipped kitchen including coffee maker and refrigerator. Everything was clean and had plenty of linens and towels. Location was easy to get to local landmarks like the Brushy State Prison. Slept very well with the wall AC keeping a steady comfortable temp and very quiet...

"Old Elementary School renovated into full overnight accommodations at New River SXS trails and Windrock Trails. Raymond, the 85 year old retired coal miner is the live in caretaker. It’s worth going to hear him tell about the history of the area going back to the 1930’s!"

"Overall, an aging condo with some upgrades. Worked fine for our visit, but on the expensive side. Addressing issue mentioned in other reviews: 1) Someone attempted to clean the carpets with cleaner that bleached some areas. 2) The top bathroom vent did not work, the others did. 3) We were off-season so didn't need AC but heat, which was fine except even with the fan set to ON, the upstairs rooms were warm while the first floor was still cool."

"We were in town for a short stay to attend a family event. The condo was perfect. The area was quiet, the surroundings very relaxing. We enjoyed a good dinner at the clubhouse and found the staff to be very friendly. If we had more time, it would have been a treat to spend several more days. "
