"A lovely relatively quiet old manor house, just off the M11. Rooms well insulated for heat, 2 windows didn’t close easily in my room, but other guests seemed to slam them shut. Bed was huge and very comfortable; the bathroom was clean and the domestic staff maintained the room daily. I did drive past a couple of times as i thought the main iron gates were a service entrance, but not. Its a sharp turn into the 'drive' and pull up to the gates which will open automatically. The Receptionist...

"Check in for our one night stay was very quick and efficient and the receptionist kindly offered us some free drinks from the bar as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We accepted these and took them later after we had eaten dinner. We would have stayed longer in the bar had it not shut disappointingly early at around 11pm. The service was good though. The room was very clean and comfortable and at a nice temperature - although the air con was rather noisy - and the bathroom clean but...

"Stayed with colleagues for 1 night. The room was basic with hard floors throughout. Location is good for the city centre and it wasn't too noisy considering the location. The NCP nearby is convenient for parking. The night porter kept the bar open for us. "

"Our time at the Waterford was short, so we were not able to see or use all the facilities offered, and give them full review. We will be staying here again. Our only criticism is, the cocktails were very weak & not worth the money, we would recommend at trip to the near by supermarket."

"Lovely location right by the river. Hotel is spotless and staff were all very helpful although it was understaffed for demand at the bar with long queues because of the glorious weather. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Would recommend this hotel. "
