"This is the best experience my husband and I have had in many years. The cabin was spacious and had everything you need from a full kitchen to bath supplies. All linen was bright white with no stains and the furniture was comfortable. Wildlife is all around with bunnies right outside the door..large deck with lots of seating and tables..just a great experience!!!"

"My husband and I and our kids and grandkids. It was nice being near the Paulina Pool, kind of like having our own swimming pool, just steps away. The grands enjoyed being near the creek also. In past years we had to bike to get to this area. We did have one little thing we needed to talk to the owners about and they got back to us immediately. Overall, it was a great stay and time with family!"

"Long time lover of BBR, first time staying at this house. Great location and good proximity to the horse pastures, Paulina Pool, Lakeside, Lodge, etc. This house is bigger than it looks on the outside. Updated living room, kitchen, and hot tub were awesome. Loved having so many bathrooms and bedrooms. Very quiet home perfect for relaxation and quality time with friends. Only request would be to add bikes to this property. If you haven’t been to BBR, it’s best explored by bike. Most rental houses...

"Overall the house was great and very cute. The house is really a two bedroom plus loft, not a three bedroom, so we weren’t able to have our toddler sleep in the twin beds up there. Only suggestion would be to add some curtains or blinds to the downstairs living area. We had people sleeping in the twin/trundle and the light came in very early in the morning."

"I highly recommend this property. It balances the decor of the mountains with some nice amenities, such as AC. Very clean, very comfortable, and a really nice looking interior and exterior all around. The backyard is a plus with a nice barbecue and a fire pit with some beautiful plants. Told myself I almost didn’t review it because I want to keep this place all to myself!"

"The property could not be much nicer—right on the banks of the Metolius, lush lawn, and fragrant pines. It sits just behind Hola Restaurant and a short walk from the little store. Contrary to the property listing, there is no Dish TV—there is a 43” (not 36”) internet connected TV but you should be prepared to stream from your own device. Obviously TV will not be your first concern if you stay here but there were some big sporting events on during my week and it was a struggle to watch them....

"Overall we enjoyed our stay. It would have been perfect except for a couple minor details. The house was freezing cold on our arrival on Friday night. The bathroom only had one bath towel for two adults for two nights. No soap at any of the wash basins. Ignoring this, it was a lovely place to get away. We were provided with Duraflane logs and had a cozy fire."

"This is such a beautiful place, it’s like staying inside a park. The cabin itself is beautiful and relaxing with a rock fireplace. Being able to enjoy a glass of wine on the amazing outside deck with the Metolius River flowing by is priceless. One night we BBQed steaks in our backyard park while enjoying the surrounding landscape. Truly one of our favorite places to be."

"Wish we could have modified our stay to really enjoy it. The description had "bike's " and their is just one bike that is pretty old looking. The linens I felt could be upgraded to match the price point and the queen bed mattress should be updated as well. Otherwise we enjoyed the environment and watched the Olympics."

"We grew up coming to the Metolius River - one of our favorite places in the world. Have been campers all our lives, but getting too creaky for that now. This is second best to camping... maybe better according to my husband. Easy walk to Camp Sherman store, the river and fly-fishing, spectacular hiking. Well stocked cabin with beautiful deck overlooking the river. Serene. Will be back!"

The house is remote, which is what we wanted, and provides access to lots of outdoor adventuring, whether taking a hike on the Scout Camp trail or visiting Smith Rock State Park.
