"Great staff and service. Dated rooms, less than great fixtures and furniture. Lots of in room tile but very comfortable beds. Very expensive food and drinks, but most items were tasty - however the Mai Tai's were the worst I have had at any luxury resort. It's not the Four seasons or The Ritz Carlton and has limited hours for room service (strange for a 5 star resort hotel), but you also don't pay the premium price for the accommodations. "This is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Understated and tasteful elegance. Fantastic rooms with amazing balconies, world class beach, impeccable service, excellent grounds, fine dining at Manta, but also a beachfront casual bar/restaurant, and Copper Bar in between and our favorite. They have an Asian Art Collection worthy of a museum. This was out of our usual price range, a big splurge, and worth every penny. We are already trying to figure out how to swing it to go back next winter. "
