"We've stayed here before so knew it was basic and roomy. The old curtains have been replaced and it was pretty clean. Linens were comfortable. The space heater was dated but worked. Cute place, overall needs some love, attention and definitely needs updating. It could be adorable. We missed the donkeys on the roof this time."

"The studio apartment was perfect for our short stay in the area. It was well appointed and so quiet. It was a short drive to Hobbiton for our tour and felt like we were already in the shire. We could easily drive to Cambridge for any meals or provisions. I recommend Kauri Lodge as a great stay in the area."
