"Nice little cottage. Beach walks with coffee in the morning. Nice fire pit and chairs. Kitchen could use a few more pots pans and gizmos. Spices would be nice too. Overall very good"

"My husband, baby, and I, along with another couple and their baby, stayed at this cottage during our trip to Cape Breton. The cottage was more spacious than we expected and fit us well. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area was great. Our favorite part was the proximity to the beach! Great sand and swimming, and the location made it perfect for running back and forth with kids. This place is a drive away from any amenities, which we knew, but something to take into consideration."

The property manager had great communication with us as the power went out our first night and she was quick to message us and offer to bring candles and flashlights. "If you like solitude and nature, Big Intervale will give you that! The property is beautiful and off the beaten path. There are no services nearby so if you’re visiting off season, be sure to gas up and bring your toothbrush and snacks. It’s a good 20-30 minutes on a dirt road to get in or out of the cabins. The owners were welcoming and accommodating. "

"We had to cancel due to the fact that the cabin was cold and damp. The key did not work, no TV and the radio had a note on it do not touch. The name listed under hotel .com was not the name of the cabins and we spent alot of time trying to locate the place. Had to ask several people to even find the proper place. Would not recommend this place to anyone."

"The house was quite nice overall. A little disappointing that the woodstove didn't work, especially as the weather was cool and wet. The water is quite soft, but tastes good; and the water heater works fine. We spent a chilly first night as the baseboard heaters were set to 10C (50F), and the control buttons are really tiny and hard to notice. A heads up from the owner would have been helpful.
