"The cabins are nice and have a mini kitchen and a comfortable bed. The area is quiet and the stars are bright. The property is quiet and surrounded by beautiful trees. We were there off season and it was nice to sit on the front porch and listen to the red squirrels chatter and watch the chipmunks. It’s a good stay for 2-3 nights."

"I have progressing mobility issues. The property is mainly one level, with two tiny steps to the bathroom and a tiny stop to the front door. Shower enclosure, no tub. Rustic, charming property on a small pond with ducks and other wildlife. Owner has done all the renovations to the property himself. "If you like solitude and nature, Big Intervale will give you that! The property is beautiful and off the beaten path. There are no services nearby so if you’re visiting off season, be sure to gas up and bring your toothbrush and snacks. It’s a good 20-30 minutes on a dirt road to get in or out of the cabins. The owners were welcoming and accommodating. "

"Such a quaint little cottage, great for a night away to just sit and watch the ocean with your loved one. Peaceful! Everything you needed in one place. "

"I was there to ride my motorcycle and see Nova Scotia. This location was perfect for getting around, not far from Rt 1, the highway and Trunk 8. So it was close to riding the coastline, cutting across the island or the highway to every where else. Returning back to a quiet place to enjoy the thoughts and views of the day’s ride was made easy with this private setting."

"Very cute property with a nice location. "

"My husband, baby, and I, along with another couple and their baby, stayed at this cottage during our trip to Cape Breton. The cottage was more spacious than we expected and fit us well. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area was great. Our favorite part was the proximity to the beach! Great sand and swimming, and the location made it perfect for running back and forth with kids. This place is a drive away from any amenities, which we knew, but something to take into consideration."

"Comfy cozy cottage with an amazing view of the Highlands and Cheticamp River, close to the National park and close to amenities and restaurant. Most importantly, a 2 minute drive from the Aucoin bakery, the very best and must popular spot in Cape Breton! Perfect for a little get away. "

"Absolutely perfect. The host is amazing, Alex checked in on us a few times and respected our privacy. The hosts have thought of absolutely everything, nothing missing. The property is beautiful.
