"Overall we enjoyed our stay at Portou House. Our room was on the top floor. There was some hanging space but not a lot of storage other than one drawer. The bed was really comfortable and toiletries and a hairdryer were peovided. The room would benefit from soundproofing as there was a bit of noise from a nearby restaurant, however this did not spoil our stay. The rooms are in a great location. We would definitely return. "

"Great location right by the harbor. Taxis won’t go to the place due to the narrower streets but you will be dropped off 2-3 blocks away and get to walk to this great location. Graffiti seems to be common but don’t let that deter you. Every morning we walked two minutes to get to the harbor and do our daily morning walk and every evening we had a fantastic dinner by the harbor. "My family of 7 adults stayed here. It was wonderful. We all had our own rooms and beds. It can sleep 4 couples comfortably. Alex was great to work with and Zoe was there to show ys the keys and gave us lots of local information and even goodies to eat .. the location hasa rooftop view of the entire old town waterfront. It is a historic building that is part of the old town history. We had no problem but if you have a problem with stairs you should look elsewhere. We had no problems at all and...

"This place was very nice and clean, well-stocked, and extremely comfortable beds. Be aware, it is on a very busy street, but still was so nice! Walking distance to the port, maybe 10-12 minutes, restaurants and small stores plus larger ones very close. Bus station to Reythymo-Heraklion also within walking distance. Anna was so helpful and gave good recommendations. Highly recommend to stay here. "

"We absolutely loved our stay in Kissamos. The location was perfect. It was an easy walk to a couple of beaches and our son loved the ice cream shop downstairs. I bought local fruit and vegetables just steps away from the apartment. The host was responsive and helpful with recommendations. The landlady came and cleaned often and even baked us cakes! Overall we loved it here and can’t wait to return."

"Melina and her family are excellent hosts. The building is laid out as a set of self contained apartments with a shared lobby, with their home being off the lobby if you need to contact them. The apartment was kept clean throughout our stay with fresh towels, etc. every 2 days. The selection of cooking equipment was good, so self-catering was a practical option, and Melina provided some olive oil, marmalade and fruit as a gift upon arrival. You will need your own condiments, kitchen roll, etc....
