"We had the best time at the cabin. Townsend is such of a lovely unique town. If you want to have a relaxing time you definitely want to stay here. It is in a great location. It is close to so many wonderful attractions without the busyness of a larger city. The cabin is very clean and has all of your basic necessities. The river is right behind it and you can relax by the water. It was just great! We enjoyed it immensely! "

"The cabin was small but perfect for a couple. We found the property to be very clean and well kept. The shower was very small but worked. The overlook of the stream was great. Loved eating breakfast and having coffee in the glassed in area. We will be back!!"

"We had a lovely time; cabin was great; kitchen was outfitted nicely; we appreciated the Smoky Mountain hiking books on the shelf; Cades Cove trails are nearby; rivers, trails and mountains were beautiful; played Scrabble; enjoyed Company Distilling and Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro in Townsend; recommend visiting Mabry-Hazen House for historic house tour in Knoxville (and there are others) on your way over : ) ; owner was responsive to our questions! "The Lazy Elk cabin was as presented in the VRBO information. It was clean, and the view of Fontana Lake was beautiful. Our particular GPS kept misdirecting us to the road, but thankfully some kind locals actually showed us the way. We stayed at the cabin almost the entire week, keeping warm by the fireplace and fire pits, and just unwinding."
