"The property is at the edge of Kalabaka towards Meteora. It is less crowded and easy to park in front of the hotel. It is only a short walk to the commercial area where we find many restaraunt and shops. Hotel staff gave us very refreshing appple juice upon arrival and a great intro of the area. There is a slight road noise as buses to Meteora speed by the hotel."

"I selected the San Giorgio Villas because of its stated proximity to the Meteora rock formations, and I was not disappointed. It is, I believe, the absolute closest property to Meteora, literally at the foot of the giant pillars. We booked the Triple with Meteora View, and the pillars were right outside our window across the street. Breathtaking! My husband called the room “monastic”, which, given the Meteora monasteries, seems appropriate. It was simple, but absolutely beautiful with wood accents and some ornate decorative touches. The beds actually ended up giving us one of the best sleeps of our trip thus far. Breakfast was served to each table with a selection of bread, eggs, cheese, yogurt, cake, coffee, juice, etc., and was ample and delicious. One thing to note that might make this place even more appealing to some travellers is that it has a kitchen and large table where you can prepare your own meals. The staff was lovely and very welcoming! Highly recommended!"
