"Hotel Itria is an amazing hotel with beautiful views of Modica below. It is totally worth the very many steps to get to it from Modica bassa. Whether taking the steps day or night the views are unbeatable. The hotel itself is well run, comfortable bedding, excellent bathroom, an ample array of breakfast choices. I would definitely stay there again. Modica is a wonderful place to visit and not to be missed. "

"This hotel building, carved into the stone, survived the 1693 earthquake and is over seven hundred years old. Josepi, on his second day at work, was an enormous help in parking my car, which was a midsize MG SUV. He went over and above what was expected. Breakfast was a joy with great staff, that would make you coffee exactly how I wanted it and kept it coming without having to ask. Sparkling wine awaited you in the cavern-like separate sitting area upon arrival after a stressful drive, before checking in. Linda and Eugenio gave us incredible service making reservations at restaurants for us and advice on visiting Modica, Scicli, and Ragusa. Linda phoned a restaurant for me when I thought that I had left my hat behind. The atmosphere of the hotel more than made up for the somewhat tight quarters of our room which could be accessed from the street, or by going up a spiral staircase cut int0 the stone behind the front desk. Service at it’s finest."

"This hotel is what made our stay in Ragus Ibla so wonderful. Laura is amazing with all that she does! The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with so many homemade options. The location was great since you're already in the old town (Ibla) and can easily walk from the hotel to the duomo and cafes. We will definitely stay there again!"
