"Casa Gratitud was everything we hoped it would be. We enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous home overlooking the bay. The home was clean and well appointed with most everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing weeklong stay. Do be warned that there are 200 stairs from the trail to the house. We enjoyed the daily workout and the view is worth it!Make sure that the water taxi drops you off at the correct pier when you arrive as there are two in the town. We didn’t know and arrived to the wrong one. Yelapa is a charming town that is a welcomed break from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Everyone was so friendly and the fresh shrimp ceviche, guacamole, and groceries awaiting us at the house were a huge hit! Thank you Yanet!"

"El Cielito was literally a breath of fresh air from the crowded “tourism scene” in the area. If you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful and affordable location for your next vacation, this is exactly what you are looking for. Staff were all amazing and the accommodations were superb. We will definitely return…often!!"

"Our three nights at Bahia Bonita were wonderful! It was only a 3 minute walk from the water taxi pier to the property. We were pleased to be met at the pier by staff who helped carry our luggage. The view of the bay and beach is incredible, and you can hear the water all night, regardless of which room you’re in. Our unit had a partial ocean view off of the balcony, but we only had to go down the steps and sit on the large Deck area overlooking the water… There are tables, chairs, and lounge chairs there for guest use… It is an amazing spot to hang out, play cards, etc. our unit had a kitchenette with stove and small refrigerator, plates, utensils, etc., but no microwave or oven. There is plenty of fresh drinking water available outside the unit. Very friendly staff that greeted us at check-in…. it only took two minutes and we were on the way to our room with key. There are a lot of steps, but very well worth it as long as you are in decent shape. Oh, I forgot to mention the small infinity pool it also has the same incredible view. There are the typical beach restaurants about a 7 minute walk across the sand.. Walking to the village is an additional 10–15 minute walk, with more steps. Village has a few more places to eat, and a few small grocery stores. We definitely hope to return to Casa Bahia Bonita!"

"We loved the patio. Perfect place to do yoga, watch birds and the sunrise hits the patio directly which is amazing in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the host(s) are very responsive. The house is up on the hill, but it only takes 5-10 minutes to walk into town. Yelapa has lots going on at night and can be loud, we found the location of this house to be located perfectly as it is close to town but far enough away that you're not surrounded by it. We would definitely stay again!"

"Amazing hosts , great meals, privacy and tranquility. A perfect place to relax and recharge. The owners are thoughtful and kind. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the beach and town. "

" The house is at the top of a hill. Clean and comfortable beds. There is an apartment above, so it is easy to hear movements and doors. On top of that is a deck with chairs and a table where you can watch whales. You also have a view over the beach. People are very friendly and helpful. Restaurants have great food. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. "

"We loved this property but recognize the steep walk up and 55 steps down to our room might not be for everyone. It was just fine for us because the only noise was the sound of waves against the rocks below our room. Also, communication was excellent for us due to problems with Expedia but our hostess patient and helpful. The rooftop patio was lovely with great views of the harbour. The apartment was spacious with very comfortable furniture. "

"We had the best time with our extended family in this awesome house in the most awesome place - Yelapa! This house is 12/10 and everyone was incredibly nice and took the best care of us! "

"The property is located right above the outcropping that separates the 2 beaches at Yelapa, and the gate is in the main path in town. Great location, and you will enjoy all night the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks 30 feet below the wrap around balcony. The stairway down to the property is in great shape and charming. It separates you from the horses, donkeys and ATV traffic. The pool, not huge, is wonderful; on the cool side late in December, which was therapeutic. It helped my sore, sun burnt, bug bitten body after 7 days of birding in the region. Great view. No house in Yelapa has a better view than this apartment. Also, importantly, the huge king bed was firm, but comfy. A previous post suggested updating. I agree, but it works as-is, and a big update will drive the price up. What I paid was very very reasonable. A couple inexpensive fixes may be sufficient, which I will share with the host. Final note, this is one of three units. This is the middle one. I met the folks staying in both. They were great. Bottom line, I would/will definitely stay here again."
