"This place understands what hospitality is. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed as if it was our home. Our bags were taken to our room and we had a welcome drink on the terrace overlooking the spectacular Douro Valley. We joined other guests for a family style meal and enjoyed getting to know people from many different countries. Amazing place to relax, appreciate the area, with a wonderful team to help with questions and make the visit super comfortable."

"The hotel is rather small (a very good thing for me!), but the room I had was large and the bathroom too. It was modern and very clean, with A/C. It was called Mallus and had a French door to the street which meant I had to have the blind down all the time for privacy, really the only drawback to it all. The breakfast is very good, fresh, and the manager very kind and dedicated. I highly recommend!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this location. Originally we were only going to stay one night but then ended up staying an additional two nights. The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night. "Cet endroit est tout simplement magnifique. Un peu difficile à trouver car c'est vraiment au milieu de nulle part mais rendu sur place, c'est un vrai havre de paix. L'endroit est entretenu à la perfection. On peut profiter de la piscine, de la petite rivière et des sentiers situés autour.
