"This was our second stay here - we stayed 5 years ago, so it was just as good as last time. I think we had the same superior room which overlooked the road. "The location, staff and property are all fantastic ! It’s an easy walk to the main shopping and dining areas . The rooms were very clean and simple. The one drawback is that each room has a really strong green light in it which , I assume is the exit light . In the dorm rooms it’s not an issue on the lower bunks as you have a bed above you and privacy curtains. On the upper bunk and private rooms it’s a real issue so make sure you have an eye mask . "Very basic hostel but staff were friendly! Other guests staying at the hostel were not respectful of quiet time after 10pm and were loud at all hours of the night. Felt safe and good location!"

"The staff are wonderful!"

"The hostel was nice and clean. It is close to Rossio square and walking distance to many attractions. Unfortunately the street outside the hostel is noisy with drinks and is a little sketchy. I felt safe as I was with my partner. I may have felt differently if I was traveling alone. "

"It’s old; it’s a lot of stair climbing; well located and serves a great breakfast. Has limited bar. Work being done on premises is noisy. Staff is friendly and professional. Curtained beds for privacy with reading lights. Towel provided. Right on Rossio Square—walk anywhere downtown. "

From the time I arrived, I was given a very informative tour down to the sardines art! They respect your privacy. "The staff here we're incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had a really great stay, great breakfast, comfortable clean rooms and a safe feeling with easy check in/check out and ability to store our bags before/after check in/out times which was so helpful. It is a busy, noisy neighborhood into the evening but absolutely perfect for easy walking and metro access in Lisbon. "

The conditions of the hotel did not matched the images ad descriptions provided in hotel.com, and I was extremely disappointed with my experience. High Quality Cozy Boutique Hotel

"All of the staff was kind and accommodating, even before I arrived. I needed to call the hotel with a question and Lucas assisted me very pleasantly. The young woman who checked my husband and I in was also very nice and friendly unfortunately I don’t remember her name. The room was cozy and served the purpose we needed which was somewhere clean to sleep in between events. We came for a Van Zee concert which was close by. The location is perfect to get to A LOT of sites. The thermostat/cooling system had an issue but they resolved it at the front desk. One of the front desk ladies even came upstairs to look at it and when it didn’t work she was able to control the airflow from downstairs so we could sleep comfortably. My only word of advice is to consider firmer pillows because the pillows were very soft and when I put one of top of the other it was too high for my head. I slept fine and this does not change my rating—just friendly suggestion :) I would stay here again! Also shockingly quiet given how busy the streets got. The price for the location was amazing! It definitely should have been more expensive."
