Scenery and Serenity - Delight in your holiday retreat

Are you interested in a peaceful place with fabulous views to retreat to after the bustle of the city? Great location near Esquimalt Lagoon and Royal Bay seaside parks, Pearson College of the Pacific, Royal Roads University, Galloping Goose hiking and biking trail, as well as many shopping opportunities from box stores to quaint neighbourhood bistros. Downtown Victoria is accessible by bus or car in an easy 30 minute drive and the bus stop is a short walk away. Many sports opportunities are available from fishing (lake or ocean), golfing (Royal Colwood and Olympic View Golf Clubs are 5 minutes away, Highland Pacific and Bear Mountain Golf Resort are 15 minutes away), as well as hiking and biking. The community is home to many Canadian sports development centres - tennis, golf, rugby, biking, rowing to name a few.

All the comforts of home are available with a well equipped kitchen with BBQ available, as well as washer and dryer and dishwasher, cable TV and a dedicated study area for any school or work related commitments. Bright sunny rooms with 9 foot ceilings and expansive windows give a marvelous view over the water to Victoria. Please no smoking and no pets in the suite or on the premises.

Perfect experience!
This is a luxury experience! The location out-of-town (with views across to Victoria ) shouldn't worry you- the buses into town work like clockwork. The property is so well-equipped, with cupboards containing all sorts of extras. The second bedroom is more than a den - a proper room. Gifts of wine and biscuits were much appreciated as was the stock of tea, coffee, laundry liquid, oil, etc. The only thing that I would change is that while the mattress on the main bed is comfortable, it is quite soft, so there was an element of 'roll together' ! We have rarely stayed in self-catering accommodation as fabulous as this one. Huge thank you to the hosts - we presume they lived upstairs though didn't meet them.

I can’t say enough about this beautiful home. We arched the full moon rise and then the next morning saw the sunrise. Very comfortable, clean and exceptionally well-equipped. Ruth responded immediately with our questions. Located near all the things we wanted to do- hike, pickleball, stand up paddle boarding and visiting downtown ( 30 minutes away. Loved it all. We had the whole lower level of a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. It had high ceilings and lots of windows with a nice view. It was a lovely surprise to find such a beautiful and comfortable home away from home. Ruth is a first class host and made us feel very welcome and provided us with more than expected to make our stay so enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised to find a basket of treats and a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. Waking up to such a beautiful vista can only be improved by window coverings in the main room to reduce the heat felt by the early morning sun. We will highly recommend the home and would love the opportunity to stay there again.

Perfect gem
We had full access to this bright basement suite with a walkout and small patio in Colwood. The view of the ocean, Victoria, and Mount Baker was spectacular! All advertised photos were very accurate! The suite consisted of 2 bedrooms, washroom with shower/tub, living room, and full size kitchen complete with all dishes, pots, bowls, etc. Hostess even left out a bottle of wine, chocolates, coffee pods, and homemade jam for us! Kitchen included several condiments, staples, and spices. It was like stepping into someone’s home complete with towels, blankets, soap, shampoo, dish soap, laundry soap, etc. etc. Truly a gem!

Perfect Accommodation !
We loved staying here. The landlord was so nice, helpful, and truly cared about us feeling comfortable without being intrusive. The residence was very clean and well equipped. The view and garden was beautiful! The parking for our rental car was right beside the stairs to the apartment and easy to get in and out of the driveway. The location is close to many stores and restaurants and about a 15 minute drive into Victoria. We will definitely book here again.

Feels like home
A perfect place for a relaxing and comfortable stay. I’ve stayed in many VRBOs and ABNBs and this place is the most complete. There is everything you could ever need. Clean and very comfy. You will feel like you are at home. It’s perfect. No it’s not in Victoria but everything here is 15 minutes away and Langford has everything you need.
