This is a quaint, traditional hotel. It was close enough to the ferry that I could have left my car in Port Angeles. I was glad to have the EV charging station on property.
We came over from Vancouver to attend the Royal Museum exhibit with our 10 year old grandson. We had great time, fun in pool, walked everywhere we needed to and found the bed to be comfortable and clean. The front desk staff directed us for places to eat, and our car was happy parked out back on the hotel parking lot. Thank you, we will be back again, M. Linde and R. Stamm

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff was great. Decor was festive. It is an older hotel and areas of wear give a perception of uncleanliness at times. Our rug was very dirty - even a good shampooing may have improved the appearance ! And the hallways were hot and stuffy - we opened the windows often I. Our suite also as there were no fans or air movement. Also could not adjust the heat.
The staff were friendly, helpful and was able to check in early. Great to have the kitchenette Appreciated the billiards room as well as the games room for things to do when we returned for the day as well as pool, hot tub, work out room all with good hours for accessibility. It is a little on the older side decor wise but didn’t mind. A little disappointed that the restaurant/lounge was not open but otherwise was a great stay.
Our Rembrance long weekend trip to Victoria was great because Ascot was located in the heart of Victoria City. The icing on the cake was a free upgrade to a luxurious switch with kitchenette!
The suites were perfect for our family, including grandkids and a dog. The location is great for exploring the downtown harbour area. The kids loved the pool!
The property was really nice. The only thing I would think if you stand in the summer, there isn’t any air conditioning there is a pool in a game room, but I didn’t go and check it out cause I was just there by myself for one night it doesn’t have a restaurant but there are lots of restaurants around because there’s lots of other hotels That do have restaurants within walking distance
I’ve stayed at the Royal Scot several times. The location can’t be beat! It’s good value for the price but definitely could use some updating. Will be staying there again I’m sure.
Great location, reasonable and the kids love the pool and watching the horses on the street across . Building and facilities are older but work fine, bed was comfortable and the staff were very nice
