Third time staying at the Helm’s Inn and never disappoints. I think this is one of the best small, budget friendly hotels in downtown Victoria. Hotel is always uber clean and the staff are always welcoming and helpful.

The room was clean and had a good mattress. The weather was pleasant so we sat in the courtyard each day. The hotel is getting a bit tired cosmetically but i wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend because of the location, excellent basic comfort and overall value.
