"As a tradition my wife and I come down from Colorado at the end of each year to do our Christmas time with the grand daughters and celebrate the new year in Baton Rouge staying at a convenient place within walking distance from the Mississippi River and the new years eve fireworks. This place filled the bill perfectly."

"The house size was great- we enjoyed the location. House has a few issues that if fixed would make the space awesome. We had 10 people staying here with plenty of room for everyone. House has a few issues like leaking shower and wonky kitchen floor that were a tiny bit concerning. Host was very nice. House could use a few more things for guests to use such as kitchen pots and pans. Overall we enjoyed our stay."

"Loved this property so much. The home is beautiful and we had everything we needed. The assortment of books was a plus, and my mom read two books during our stay. The bathroom was lovely, especially the bathtub in the master. The only thing I will say as a con is the pillows. They were very large and thick, so we wish we would've brought our own. All to say - we will certainly stay here again if we are ever in need of a place in Baton Rouge. "

"The home was exactly as advertised, but with a few pleasant surprises… heater/fan in bathrooms, high quality toiletries, well-equipped kitchen, super easy check-in/out."

"The property was exactly what we needed. Plenty of room, beautiful view on the water, and the home was just as beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and all the beds had the most comfortable bedding. We spent our mornings playing mahjong on the screen in porch while drinking coffee and looking at the water. During the day we went shopping in Saint Francisville and had dinner at the Myrtles. We will definitely be going back. The town of New Roads was so cute. It was raining...

"This would have been a great stay but the management did not say that there was a lot of construction being done on the hotel. My wife and I walked to our room to find a bunch of workers in most of the rooms. This was very unsettling because they were in every room but ours and it was a mess. "Louisiana natives, our group returned to our home state to meet up for the holidays. This property represented all our LA favorites: clean and comfortable, a beautiful natural setting, and easy access to good food and fun. "We had a great weekend in False River! For most of us, it was our first experience at an LSU game and needed a good place/location for the game. Ma Mamma’s is a great place for evening meal. Great food and perfect place to take a big group or just your special someone. The house was clean, spacious and provided everything and more for our group. I would definitely recommend this place for a great stay. Great communication by the owner too!!"
