After checking in and freshening up we took a table outside to enjoy a local beer. The same staff work the hotel and waiter service. "Our stay at Barabas Bed and Breakfast is the absolute best place weve ever been, weve been all over Canada, USA, and Netherlands, this property is exquisite and dreamy, the house is beautifully decorated. "Great location, it’s a 15 min walk to old central Bruges. The room is a little small, but comfortable, although some nicer pillows would be good. Be aware the walk up is steep and narrow, like so many European rooms. The breakfast part is a little pricey but nice, I think if you book it in advance you can save a few$. The parking is close, but it’s a tight fit in the garage for anything small suv size or bigger. Overall a great stay."

"One of the nicest places I had stayed in a very long time! The room was exceptional, amazing bath and shower. Looked recently decorated but it’s just good upkeep! "It was aiming to be a boutique B&B but failed, dangerous stairs to access, bare light bulbs some not working, no air conditioning, not clean or updated.. in general disappointing and not as portrayed on the website"

"The 1669 Bed and Breakfast was such a treat. Our room was in the front overlooking the street. We had a king size bed, claw foot tub and shower. We ate the breakfast both of the mornings we were there and it was delicious. This place is conveniently located near the train. It is also easy walking to all of the sites. I’d highly recommend."

"Always like to stop here. Very clean, kind stuff, amazing breakfast. But will never book again the budget room in the hot summer. It is impossible to sleep as it is very warm and the ventilator does not help. Would be nice to have air-conditioning. "This hotel had easily the largest room that we have ever had for a hotel stay, while also being very clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and helped us with any requests, such as helping us with taxis and providing an umbrella for us when we weren't prepared for rain. Great service

"The hotel is located about ten minutes away from Gent Dampoort train station. The facility is modern and squeaky clean. Although the hotel is close to a business park and a busy roundabout, you barely hear any noise from your room. Moreover, the presence of rental bikes helped me given that public transit in Gent is disappointing. For ten Euros a day (plus a fifty Euros safety deposit), I managed to visit all of Gent's major attractions with a rental bike from the hotel thanks to Gent's bike infrastructures."

"Our check in was seamless, the staff gave us all the info we needed including a map where she indicated what attractions were where and which we could go into. The room was clean and inviting. Breakfast was good and stocked well. Parking - we found a lot about 300m away so parked there and walked to the hotel from it, was pretty straightforward and easy. Highly recommend this hotel."

"This place was beyond my expectations. The staff was lovely, I had a comfortable quiet sleep in my lovely hotel room as The bed was like a cloud and spacious. The decor just helped with the ambience of the place. Plus having sparkly upon arrival and at breakfast was a lovely treat and the best part was it didn't break my pocket."
