"Good location for the golden circle, relatively close to Selfoss, guesthouse clean and comfortable, good to be able to have use of a kitchen. Would stay again Only downsides was kitchen was missing oven trays and the kettle was temperamental as to whether it worked. Bed linens were also quite thin and seemed quite old "

"My spouse and I stayed here in early October on a road trip around the South Coast. I'm late with the review but wanted to make sure that I wrote one since we very much enjoyed our stay at Lambastadir Guesthouse! "Very first time in a hostel type hotel. I booked a room with a 'small bathroom' heads up - that means there's a tiny sink in the room, you still share a shower/bathroom down the hall. Small kitchen to use and 2 bathrooms on the main floor. We got there and used the hot tubs had wine right away after a long day. Bring your own food so we snacked, showered before other guests arrived and made it an early night. It can get a bit noisy with other guests arriving, some making dinner etc. over all we...

"Cozy wooden cabins in a nice location and a delicious breakfast. One thing to note is that cabins are joined in a longer house and are thus not soundproof - we could hear our fellow travelers talking, snoring, using the bathroom etc. The farm is now building another series of such cabins - perhaps they can take note of this issue especially for bathrooms - not nice to have to listen to your neighbor urinating when you are enjoying a glass of prosecco after relaxing in a nearby spa (Fontana)"

"Absolutely gorgeous views. Ponies right outside the windows, rolling fields. Lovely hot tub that heated up fast. Clean, peaceful and beautiful. Owner was kind and helpful. Close to Selfoss and Hveragerdi. Close to riding stables. East drive to the crater, the geyser and Gulfoss. Everything we needed was provided. Traveling with our 5 children and everyone was comfortable and happy! Highly recommend! "

"This guesthouse is very good for the area and type of accommodation. Very friendly and quiet. No hassle Or waste of time to check in or out. Dinner was amazing and above average in Iceland (balance quality-price was quite good). Breakfast very good (by far very close or even better that most 4*hotels that I have ever been). Very cozy and warm room in a particular cold area."

"It was all really amazing. the view from the room it was from the mountain soooo beautiful. The staffs are lovely made our breakfast with love and was all really delicious. I highly recommend and definitely when I go back to Iceland I will be there."

"We were here in October 2017. Hotel was nice, had a shared kitchen that we didn't use. Can walk to a few restaurants nearby. There was a hot tub that was shared as well. We only stayed one night so we didn't try it out. It was a little difficult to find the place, and once we did we weren't sure about the parking situation. But we figured it out. The place was nice and clean. Would stay here again."

"The link with all of the information wasn't working, and the hot pot didn't get used because of the broken link. Otherwise, the location was perfect for the southeast part of the Golden Circle, it was an easy drive from the airport/capital, and we saw some excellent Northern lights from the deck! "
