"We reserved at Castel Novel and also had made a restaurant booking on a Monday evening (confirmed by email) hoping to enjoy the tasting menu on offer. Unfortunately we were informed that the restaurant wasn’t open on Mondays and were directed to a nearby restaurant (La Caleche in Varetz). "We stayed here in July for one night and it was like being invited to a house party. The welcome could not have been friendlier. The accommodation was perfect and the little terrace was bathed with early evening sunshine, very pleasant. The Air con was very welcome later though. We didn't have the evening meal but it smelled delicious!! Breakfast was exactly what we needed. it was ideal and a lovely change from a chain hotel. Thanks, A little Gem!! "

"Wonderful family 2-night stay in the top floor family suite (2 adults 2 children). 2 interconnected rooms each with own bathroom and seating area (couch and coffee table). Coffee and tea making facilities and fridge in each room. Glass of wine and beer on arrival by the pool, which was lovely. Pool towels provided, which was great (pool open all day and very clean). Easy free parking too. Delicious breakfast buffet with freshly baked croissants and lots of other delicious items etc and seating...

"We had flushing issues with the toilet but the staff fixed the problem immediately. The receptionist was nice because we needed a refund for a breakfast that we were not going to use, and we got the refund immediately. Overall we felt safe within the property."

"We had booked here because it had EV charging points and a restaurant, and looked like a pleasant setting. We arrived to discover that the EV chargers were Tesla only, and the restaurant was closed.
