That's ok. Room is clean, comfortable and cheap. But the service is not very good. If you don't mine. That is a good choice.

My Home for a Week
This was a good place to stay for many reasons. It is a straight shot to everything, being on Kingsway you can get anywhere very quickly (as quickly as you can with the traffic). The bed was very comfortable. Not to mention the staff was very friendly. At one point my toilet clogged and since they didn't have anyone to fix it that day, they were willing to move me to a different room for the time being. I was alone that week, and always felt very safe which was a huge plus. The only pieces of criticism I really have was the fact that I had left my GPS in sight in my rental car and the security guy, doing his rounds, felt it necessary to call me at 2am to let me know. I had already been asleep for a few hours. When I told the front desk that I appreciated him wanting to keep my personal belongings safe, I did not appreciate being woken up in the middle of the night. The guy at the front desk defended him but also said he would mention it to him. The only other thing I can mention is that the internet, like most hotel internet, wasn't the best in the world. It was slow and you had to reconnect every 24 hours. So, every time I came back to the hotel, I had to reconnect to the internet. All in all, my week in Vancouver was fantastic, and this hotel was a good part of that. It was my home base and it was wonderful for that. I would (and probably will) stay here again when I come back to Vancouver.

OK
I rented out two rooms for the family. The service is nice, but the rooms are just not up to my expectation. This is my first time staying at the Ramada, and it is not quite comparable ot other places. Room are not clean as I expected even though the service is nice.

Cheap and passable.
The Ramada at Metrotown was okay. It was cheap and about a 30 minute drive to downtown Vancouver. The Wi-Fi was appallingly slow. I couldn't get anything to load and eventually gave up and just used my phone instead. The pool was also closed for the season (late September) so I think it's probably only open for a couple months during the summer. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were okay. It was nice to have a fridge in the room. There's also a Starbucks and a Safeway across the street which was very convenient. I would stay here again if I need something cheap.

Hotel fine for price - misleading ammenities
There was no available wi-fi even though they say they do offer free wi-fi. A real problem as i was trying to get some work done! Restaurant onsite closes for food service really early. I went for dinner at 7:30 and it was closed.

Reasonably priced, clean accomodations
I was traveling on business with a friend. We would much rather spend our money on a dinner out or other fun than pay a lot for a hotel room. The price was very reasonable, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable with newer linens. It is not the newest or fanciest hotel by any means, but it suited our needs just fine.

mid-way between airport and downtown
This hotel is old and shows signs of wear and tear, however I would definitely stay here again. My room was extremely clean and serviced every day. The price was very affordable. The staff were efficient and professional and I liked being mid-way between the airport and dowtown. This hotel is on a major bus route, so one bus downtown (#19) and only 1 bus and the subway to the airport. This area of Vancouver is older and lower-income, but I loved the diversity of people & restaurants.

Vancouver hotels are usually very expensive. But this one is pretty affordable and still convenient to all places we need to go. Hotel is clean and stuffs are very friendly.

Unsafe and unwelcoming
Very disappointing for a named hotel chain. It was very unwelcoming despite the friendliness of the staff on duty at the time of check-in. The room was barely clean and didn't really make us relaxed. The whole thing was just only a tad bit better than a basic motel :-( BTW, contrary to what the name suggests, the hotel is not in Metrotown. It is in a suburb between Vancouver and Metrotown, far from any happening area. We decided to checkout the very next day on our 3-day booking. The best part, after we checked out and went to the parking lot - horror, the car was broken into, the window was broken and items in the glove box stolen. The hotel staff told us to talk to the local police and when we told the hotel staff that they need to review the security cameras in the parking lot and help with the identification of the thief, their attitude was that it is police' responsibility to come and inspect :-( Unless you need just a basic place to stay a night, please do yourself a big favor and stay away from this hotel.

Ramada Hotel & Suites on Kingsway
This hotel was a perfect choice for our Vancouver stay. It was conveniently located to the areas we needed to frequent the most and access to downtown was not overly difficult. We spent the majority of our time in the eastern half of the city (near Burnaby), but we did make a number of trips into the west end of Vancouver, drove over the Lion's Gate Bridge to North Vancouver, and visited Granville Island. The staff was very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel was clean (if not sparkling new) and the room was comfortable.

Ramada in Burnaby is disappointing
Parking was full at night and space was a challenge. Carpets threadbare. No extra electric outlets in room for your computer. Poor AC control.

It was okay for our purpose which was to have a place to sleep. Breakfast in restaurant was overpriced and not very good at all. Service was good. Room was fine. Shower a bit wonky. Whole place a bit run down. Elevator ridiculously slow. We didn't know Vancouver that well and selected this one on proximity to the venue we would be going to for the two days we were there but it wasn't as close to it as we would have liked in the end. Vancouver is a tough place to commute in so allow a lot of time for that unless you are withing walking distance and then the hotel price will be quite high. The rate at the Ramada was very reasonable which is also why we selected it.

Basic, friendly affordable hotel close to downtown
Good central location; easy to get to buses; reasonable price for the location. We would go back. Sad to hear that it will be closed/torn down within the next year. The first room we had, had a strange odour (musty); but for the second night we were moved to a different floor and it was a lot newer.

Terrible facilities. Bad mold smell in the room. It was a torture to stay there. The only thing that was good is the service at the reception. I do not recommend this hotel at all !

dated room and miles from city centre!!
hotel was alright if you are planning a 1 night stopover and have a car, public transport to this area is a disaster, 40 mins standin up on the bus from city centre, no nightlife around for miles. the deluxe twin room is a time warp from the 80s and is depressing, bathroom is tiny, for the price of this hotel im not impressed, nothing actually awful bad about the hotel but nothing great going for it either
