Overall, we had a great stay. While our room felt a bit dated and some areas, especially in the bathroom, could use a little TLC, the service and location were excellent. Noise isolation could have been better, but it didn’t take away from our positive experience.

The property is iconic in the Vancouver city similar to the plaza in New York. The staff every single one encountered went about and beyond on every single interaction. Specially Jane and the front desk and Diane at the concierge desk. The hotel has a lot of shopping options in the building and all around and very accessible for transportation. The restaurant on site had some amazing food and drinks.

The fairmont gold lounge had great food options no matter the time of day. But the room itself was a little worn, lots of stains on walls and very cold, temperature wise. Staff were excellent and were very helpful.

Room was not ready when we arrived despite arriving 2 hours past check-in time. Had to pay 15$ for wifi, gym was closed which was not listed on website. Very thin doors, can hear everything - kids running in the hallways. Tv was so old, offers Netflix but does not work. Over all just a very 2000’s hotel. Have stayed at much nicer hotels.

Oldie but goodie. Grand dame dressed in her holiday finest. Properly staffed with skilled workers. It’s not a screaming deal and parking is certainly not cheap but it’s not an anomaly. We all enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed the heritage architecture and decor however, the bathrooms are small ( based on the age of the building) and may need updating.Also the gym was closed for some reason. The hotels decor was festive over the holiday season and we had a corner room with a view of the Christmas tree in the square below which we as nice. Not our first stay. The parking is always annoying unless you get a valet

The common areas are nice though the room was very small and the walls thin enough where you can clearly hear conversations in hallways and neighbouring rooms.
