Review for Century Plaza Hotel, Vancouver
I had the worst experience in Canada at this hotel. The staff lacks basic customer service skills and professionalism.
Instead of running a residential hotel, they might as well run a grocery store—they’d easily compete with Loblaws. Here’s why:
• No basic toiletries: They don’t provide essentials like toothpaste, toothbrush, or slippers. Even bath amenities are limited—just one bath soap and one shower cap for a 2-night, 3-day stay for two people.
• Parking fees: They charge $22 per night for parking, but the service doesn’t justify these additional costs.
• Overpriced items: If you need something like a toothbrush, they sell it at a price higher than stores like Safeway.
The premium deluxe double bed room comes with a kitchen, but the cookware is old and dirty, making it unusable.
What’s worse is their lack of accountability. They promise over the phone to provide certain amenities, but in person, they simply deny it. This kind of inconsistency and poor hospitality completely ruined our stay.
I cannot understand how they’re surviving in the hospitality industry. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!
