"From the initial contact through to check-out, our experience at Parkside Cottage was exceptional. All the little touches were there including fully equipped kitchen with an assortment of staple items supplied, bathroom with plenty of towels, bedrooms with plenty of storage and comfy beds. The outdoor areas were great too with a covered porch and a patio with gas BBQ. "The upstairs apartment was very nice. The online listing says entire house but when you book it, it says you get the upstairs. There is no door to the upstairs besides the front door that also services the downstairs unit. This could be a safety issue and not very reasurring at night time. It was very clean and nicely furnished but seems new to short term rentals as kitchen just had basic stuff. The beds are comfortable but the bedding is lacking, needs a top sheet between you and the duvet...

"Our group had (4 adults and 2 kids) had a wonderful stay. The suite was very well equipped and cozy for a few rainy fall days. We loved the hot tub and the views. Brian and Jenny were very gracious hosts and made sure we were comfortable. Would love to stay here again!"

"We three ladies of a certain age wanted a place where we could relax and work on sewing projects. This house fit the bill perfectly. Very clean, comfortable and with every modern appliance that one could want. The view was spectacular and it was just warm enough to sit on the deck for happy hour. We loved it! Thank you, Jennifer. "I booked the lower suite and the rest of my family booked the upper suite. The property was beautiful and the suites were clean. The neighbourhood is quiet. "

"We came as a group of lady golfers and the house was perfect for our needs. It is well stocked with everything you could need and more. Beds super comfy, back deck lovely to sit on and have coffee. Rebecca was quick to respond and even allowed us in a bit early to leave stuff before we went golfing. It’s not just the house but the special touches that Rebecca provided. There was fruit and scones - perfect for a quick breakfast or a snack. We didn’t have to worry about buying coffee or cream...

"Property was great However you should bring bottled water as tap water has sulfur smell. Or installing a water filter would improve stay. Stools were very squeaky, could use an upgrade. Otherwise everything was perfect"

It was so nice to be close to the beach so we could walk down anytime we wanted. We were in town for a wedding, and recommended the house to our friends in town, if they know of anyone needing a large place to stay"

"We had an absolutely tremendous stay as a family group who hosted a large birthday dinner for family members. Not only did we enjoy the wonderfully appointed home with a wonderful kitchen and dining room, our prairie family members were enthralled with their stay in the master suite. This home was steps from the beach and a short walk to the Royston wrecks, with gorgeous views of the Salish Sea and surrounding area. "

"Hosts were welcoming and clear with their communication regarding check in and other amenities. Dwellings were well made and suited our needs. The locals of the island were so sweet and helpful as well. The island has many beautiful places to explore including walks and hikes. So glad we went on the “off season” as we were able to do our exploring with little or no crowds. Worth all the extra ferry rides as be able to travel off the beaten trail."
