"The house was perfect for us. The view of the water from the front porch was so relaxing. It was a quick walk to the beach and several excellent restaurants. But we also enjoyed the pool and snacks on the porch. We are already planning to visit again!"

Eventually, we found it, but the key was NOT in the lockbox. The manager did not answer his phone. Someone else who had a property found the key for us. There was NO wifi. "I left right away, stayed in hotel. House was misrepresented. Not large house, but apt, no ocean view, no TV, no 2nd bathroom, not beach front... 20 min away. Heavy musty smell which was unbearable, he said "I have no mold" his word, not mine. Entrance to place was not the front door, but through like a garage which was filled with junk,hoses,stuff. Door to apt was covered in turf, did not lock properly, did not open all the way, he told me don't worry, it's safe here. There's a 2nd apt. in this...

"We had a lovely two weeks in this property. The view was spectacular, the outside areas and pool were great with the balcony comfortable and shady. Inside the house felt spacious and the kitchen well equipped. Lots to do within an easy drive. We found Portugal good value for money with great food and friendly people, we will return."

"Burgau is a great family holiday destination with a gorgeous beach and lots of restaurants cafes etc. The lower appartment was super clean and a nice size with air conditioning which worked well. It was a quick easy walk to the beach but quiet at night- maybe thanks to the shutters on the windows. The roof terrace was brilliant- lovely big space which was shared with my parents who stayed in the appartment above us.. we may not have enjoyed sharing with people we didn’t know. "House is fine and as advertised. Close to beach. Did not have hot water for first 3 or 4 days. Property owner seems nice and very responsive. The bad new is that a large dog is 75 meters away and he literally barks all night long. Don't know how he can manage it ! I needed ear plugs and white noise music to sleep."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Ferragudo. The property, in a quiet, quaint neighbourhood, was just what we were looking for and within 5 minutes' walk of the centre of Ferragudo via narrow, cobbled ruas , most barely a cars-width wide, and steep flights of steps. There there is a pocket-sized "supermarket" with all essential supplies, including fresh meat and vegetables and some superb wines. A city-sized supermarket is 30 minutes' away. "We couldn’t have had a better holiday. Fifth time in Lagos and the best accommodation so far. So convenient it’s unreal. Absolutely spotlessly clean when we arrived and just a pleasure to sit at the veranda and watch the street life, and listen to the chat from the excellent Ala do Castelo restaurant next door, who were wonderfully welcoming.
