Villas in Valle de Lecrín

"Beautiful property overlooking the sea - well equipped and modern inside with tasteful decor. Wonderful communal pool which was deserted most of the time. Set in lovely landscaped gardens. Have given 4 stars only because it is quite a walk into La Herradura down steep hills - about 20 mins - 30 mins. Because it was so hot and humid (34 degrees and 80% humidity) we didn't attempt it and drove - would have been nice to be able to walk into town to get food but then you would sacrifice the location...

"Nerja is a great place and has all you would want. Plenty of restaurants. Shops and several beaches. We hired a car which was great to see a few places- the caves. Mijas, Friggilana as well as Malaga. Having our own pool was great as well as a community pool across the road. We walked to the town most days (30-40 minutes) though there is a local bus. Taxis are very reasonably priced. Lovely villa. "

"This is a lovely large Villa which was perfect for us as we were 3 families holidaying together. Plenty of outdoor space and the shared pool (although we were the only ones in it) was well kept and a good size for swimming and diving. It's a 10 min walk down a steep hill to the town. Very manageable, but if you struggle then there are plenty of taxis around for a lift back up (7 Euros). Lovely area - very spanish which was great. Almunicar is a 20 min walk along the beach front. "Tired & in need of some TLC. Nice views but access was challenging. Unfortunately the pool kept going cloudy & green frequently. We did have a few problems with appliances but we did have a good response from the owner who had them rectified."

"We are a family of 4 (kids aged 10 and 4 years old) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It is spacious and very clean. Although rustic this house is very well equipped with everything you could need. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is excellent and welcome on hot evenings. The pool and the surrounding area are fabulous. Very clean and well maintained. The views are spectacular and well worth the short journey up the hill. We had no problems at all and would love to return here...

"We were an extended family- from late seventies tk babies and all in between. The villa/casa rural was absolutely amazing. The views of the surroundings and Frigiliana town are incredible. Emilia made sure we had arrived safely, touched base to let us know there was a town festival whilst there - so to show our reservation to be let through and for recommendation on which acts and actvities to participate in. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Casa La Higuera, the house itself is excellent with everything we needed, the third member of our party ( a friend ) stayed in the Casita, her only complaint was that she thought that a small fridge in the Casita would have been useful as it would have allowed her to keep water for drinking cool over night. "We booked this villa for us, our adult children and their partners as it had 3 double bedrooms and three bathrooms plus it was walking distance to everywhere and there was no need for a car.
