"Cottage in centre of the village with a view of the historic church. Isla is a lovely historic village with a couple of bar/restaurants that were really good. The cottage was OK for our stay and a good base to visit the Cantabrian coast and mountains. Good size clean and tidy with plenty of towels and good bedding etc.. It's a little bit dated and needs some TLC to bring it into the expectations of 2023. Had a couple of problems with things that didn't work but lived with that rather than...

"Rober and his wife are very kind and supportive and gave us a lot of hints for locations to visit. The perfectly clean house provides everything we needed during 9 days for a comfortable stay, especially as we prepared our own meals. We enjoyed to drink a fresh lemon from the garden and sit in front of the house, looking at the splendid mountain panorama in front of us. "We had a terrific week in Gonzalo & Ana's villa. It had everything we needed, plus a excellent pool in the garden. Gonzalo & Ana were very welcoming when they met us and the property was very clean and well equipped. It's a great base for exploring the Northern coast of Spain. "Een goed appartement, modern ingericht en alles wat je nodig hebt is wel aanwezig. Alleen een airco zou wel handig zijn in warme periodes maar daar hadden wij niet zo veel last van. Er is een barretje vlakbij, 20 meter, maar ik zou er niet gaan eten. Een drankje is wel gezellig tussen de kwetterende Spanjaarden."

"I stayed here when I spent a few days in Bilbao after a running trip in the Picos. The apartment included everything I needed for a great stay: comfortable bed, warm shower, kitchen supplies, etc. The location is good. About 800 meters from historic buildings, all the bars and restaurants of old town, and the open air market. Bilbao is a nice walkable city, with excellent public transit, so getting to the Guggenheim and other attractions is easy. I walked there so I could admire the scenery...

We were 4 families with kids between 6 months and 9 years and came in August and it was perfect. "The house in Ancillo is cosy and comfortable. It is located in a generally quiet and rural area. A very nice feature is the proximity to the sea and marisma! The house has all the necessary amenities for a family, even for a longer stay of a couple of weeks. An exception is the lack of Wifi, something one would expect in a house at this price level. "This was a highly functional suite with 2 TV’s, European refrigerator, dishwasher, pots, dishes, cooktop, etc. the grocery store is<2 blocks away. Front desk is not staffed 7x24, but they ordered us a cab for non-staffed hours, and it arrived right on time. Very neat and clean. Trendy contemporary decor. We would go there again. There is dining nearby, but it is better about a 10 minute walk to the old city"
