This cozy 1800 sqft villa truly has character and charm. It is located within Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Lodge and is perfect for get together and family vacations. For the adventurers, Starved Rock's entrance is just a half a mile from the villa.

Amenities included 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that house 9 with a full-size washer and dryer, a patio and two balconies.The kitchen is complete with major appliances, a coffee maker, toaster, dinnerware, utensils, basic cookware and a breakfast bar, as well as a dining room.The Master Bedroom features a king size bed, pullout sofa, fireplace, television, walk-in closet, a private vanity, balcony and a whirlpool tub. The second bedroom has two queen size beds, two closets,TV and private balcony.

Our cabin is not part of the hotel pool at Grizzly Jack's resort and therefore we please ask our guests to not make inquiries at the resort reception desk since it's only for guests who are staying in one of the cabins managed by the hotel.

My villa is not affiliated with the lodge, therefore I DO NOT have waterpark passes for my guests.

Great get away
We had a great time in Utica. The townhouse is fantastic! It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was close to Starved Rock and there are some nice places to eat in the area. Definitely recommend this place!

Girls Weekend
Stayed the weekend for a girls getaway. Did a wine tasting at Clarks Run Creek. Hiked Mathiessan Park. The Villas are great for winding down and cooking dinner after a beautiful day .

The unit was large, clean and had comfortable furniture. It was nice to have a full kitchen to cook and the table was great for games. The upstairs bedrooms again were large and quite comfortable. It was a great location to explore Starved Rock and Matheson Parks. Thanks for the awesome place!!!

Villa was very nice. We had a little trouble with the code for the lock to get in, but owner was very good at helping. The stay was for 4 ladies to catch up and reboot! We played games, drank wine and slept well.

Comfortable getaway for nine!
Unit was exactly as pictured / described. Great value for what we paid. Clean and well-stocked. Comfortable sleeping for nine. The tube TV's and lack of wi-fi left a little to be desired but great for an unplugged long weekend. We hiked Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks while there and both were a quick drive away. The resort overall seemed a little past its prime (landscaping was overgrown) and the "water park" was tiny (one slide, a wave pool and a small lazy river). We found a local city pool nearby in LaSalle and paid $2/person (well worth it!) rather than spending the $20/person that it would have cost us at the water park. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Great place for friends reunion
The beds were comfortable and the space worked well for the 4 of us women. Lots of towels which we appreciated. We cooked a lot and there were some items missing from the kitchen that would be helpful including the following: dish drainer, rubber scraper, teakettle, dustpan, cutting boards (non glass), more mixing bowls, and bigger coffee mugs (only small cups available). It would also have been helpful to have more detailed instructions about how the door lock system worked and also how to operate the thermostat which was a little hard to figure out. A small area of the carpet near the back sliding door was damp during our whole stay so something to investigate. Otherwise we were pleased.

End of Summer Family Visit - Would Stay Again!
Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Just what we needed for a three-night stay to visit family down the road. Nice breakfast at the lodge next door and even had lunch at outdoor bar and grill. BBQ was great! Played mini-golf which was fun but a little run down... but maybe they were working on maintenance as all the waterfalls and rivers were drained dry. Again, condo itself was great- just what we needed with only complaint being a lot of noise between the pipes in the walls when water running or toilets flushed, older dishwasher and washer/dryer and furnace/AC unit. They all make a lot of noise throughout the unit. We had 7 adults and 2 babies; and it was sometimes a little noisy especially at night when someone flushed a toilet. However, good value and would stay again.
