"Very nostalgic building of a bye gone era. The architecture of this hotel cannot be duplicated but this hotel is better than a 5 star. The hospitality of the staff, the restaurant servings, and the history of Granville Inn is well worth the drive! "

"My only issue was I booked, and paid extra, for a deluxe room with a balcony but was given a ground floor room with a muddy patio."

"Comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and shower. We enjoyed our stay at Buxton. Easy walking to all of the interesting restaurants and stores on the main street and to Dennison. You need to understand that this is a historic facility. If you are on the 2nd floor, no elevator. They could also make it easier to find an open plug for CPAP and recharging your phone. The included breakfast fell a little flat. Overall, however, I am very happy to recommend this inn. "

"Quiet and quaint property just outside of downtown Mount Vernon (can walk to the square-a few blocks).. Courtyard is nice. Made to order breakfast was very nice. Check in was a breeze. Staff was very friendly. Can be a romantic getaway."

"My wife and I wanted a short getaway vacation, and this cabin fit the bill nicely. Close to some nice hiking and a 30-minute drive to historic Roscoe village. We also enjoyed lounging in the hot tub and around the fire pit. It’s worth noting that some of the nearby restaurants and wineries are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, which limited options. The cabin was pristine and cozy, and communication and check in/check out were very smooth. "

"I have not stayed somewhere so beautiful in a long time. The surrounding woods are vast and lovely. It was snowy during our trip and everything was picturesque. The cabin was bright clean and warm. Everything was comfortable. The hot tub on a snowy evening is memorable. I would love to visit again in the summer. My dogs LOVED it! Such a peaceful trip! THANK YOU!"
