"Nothing too special about the property but can I say, the lady that checked us in is a superstar! She managed the front desk, people in the lobby asking questions, asking for beer in the pub! She was the only one working. You've got a staff the hotel better. We were here for a volleyball tournament at Winona State University and plenty of players, coaches, and their families stayed onsite. Give the lady a huge raise or an incentive. I wish I knew her name but it was whoever was the only one working at 4:25pm on Saturday, February 8th!"

"In the below zero weather, we were greeted with a fire roaring in the wood burning fireplace and an immaculate and inviting log cabin well equipped for our 4-day stay. Troy checked in with us on our first afternoon to make sure all was good. It was! We thoroughly enjoyed the cozy feel of the cabin and the giant supply of wood to keep the fire burning. There was also a heater that would back up the warmth if the fire burned low overnight. We can’t wait to come again in every season!"

"I was in town to do some work for a business in Preston. There are very few lodging options nearby, and I discovered Stone Mill. It is a small facility with limited staff, but they still made my very late check-in very easy. The staff was super friendly, and the room was simple by comfortable. I would definitely stay here again."
