Barns and outside seating areas containing BBQ and shaded areas for those hot summer days. Set in its own grounds of over an hectare of land surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and views of the Puy de Sancy.
A variety of local footpaths from the house lead to the local restaurant/bar at Usson and to local supermarkets /bars at Sauxillanges. 5 minites by car (variety of shops and petrole station).
The historic abbatiale town of Issoire , 10 minutes from the house, offers transport links, a weekly market, new swimming complex, spas, canoeing and jet ski centre together with a circuit for racing and all the usual sport facilities. Bowling centre and the cinema is situated close to the town. In addition it has a large number of supermarkets selling local produce including the well known Auvergne cheeses and wines from local producers .
Local ski resorts, Super besse and Montdore are within easy reach of the house with skiing for all ages and abilities, ski fond and a tobogganing course , overhead zip wire, cables car and funicular rides to the summit, fortified medieval villages, chateaux, spa centres, animal parks, hot air ballooning and paragliding from the top of the highest volcano in the region, the Puy de Dome.
The city of Clermoint Ferrand with its airport, rail and road links is only 40 minutes drive away. This medieval city is home to the famous ASM rugby team and Michelin.
Flights twice weekly from Clermont to Stansted during March to October are very popular with locals and tourists alike.
Renowned for its spa centres, great cycle pistes (the Tour de France arrival in July 2020) and incredible walking opportunities are just many of the outdoor activities that this area offers. The Auvergne remains an undiscovered paradise !
