"My daughter-in-law and I enjoyed a wonderful vacation visiting precious family and friends. The Allegro served us well during our visit and I recommend the hotel to others who are looking for a conveniently located hotel close to Einsiedeln and Gross, the Monastery, perfect for hikes and long walks and shopping. "Glarnerhof has always been a great place to stay and to eat. The restaurant is very busy with locals for lunch and dinner. I had lamb twice that was so mild that I might have thought it was beef. The hotel is undergoing a remodel which will be done soon but I did not encounter too much trouble from that. Staff was nice and some speak excellent English which is nice for those of us who didn't have a chance to learn German. Lots of parking available in the lot next to the train station for 6 francs per day. Temporary parking in front of the hotel next to the park but be fast or you might get a ticket. "

"We arrived very late due to travel complications, and the staff at the hotel was extremely accommodating and allowed us to do a late check-out. They changed the whole cleaning pattern to allow us to stay a little bit longer than the normal check out time, and this allowed us to get some sleep and enjoy the fantastic shower in the room, as well as walk a little around the hotel, which is in a fantastic location. It is a great place to stay!"
