"The hotel was clean, warm but dated. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The fact that there was no restaurant meant no meal or breakfast but the staff advised me of lovely alternatives. I believe the hotel has just changed hands so probably just getting things organised and i hope it works for them."

"A nice hotel with very helpful staff. Some minor issues on our arrival which were sorted out immediately. The problem was with Expedia booking, not the hotel. Absolutely perfect for our visit which was for a business trip. We will definitely go back next time we are in Shetland."

"My second recent stay at Eddlewood Guest House was excellent. Very comfortable, clean and welcoming with everything in place for all types of travellers. Very convenient for local travel links to and from the airport, ferry terminal, to town and all across the mainland of Shetland and beyond. Very good communication from a most helpful host. "We have stayed several times, and although the rooms are in need of some modernisation, the staff and the food are exceptional. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order, and the evening meal service is exceptional … there really is no reason to dine anywhere else!"

"We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. One of the best aspects is that the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from Commercial Street, and within easy walking distance of most of the many...

"Very shabby hotel. Were told we couldn’t open the window due to hatching birds (!) and there was no A/C. Had paid for a triple room, but one of the beds was a roll-away stuffed into a twin room, with very little room left to move around. The roll-away bed collapsed every time someone sat on it, but they had to send staff twice to check because they didn’t believe us. Were finally offered a single room free of charge.
