"Beautifully renovated small cottage in a quiet neighborhood with all the amenities needed for a relaxing evening to break up your travels. Close to I-77 (but no traffic noise), convenient to gas stations and fast food. Or cook your own meal in the nicely appointed kitchen. We enjoyed our evening!"

"This property will get you away from the city life. Very quaint/quiet location off a somewhat main road. Property owners are very nice & close by if you need them. We get farm raised eggs back home & really appreciated having them. Thank you for letting us stay, we enjoyed the area & would definitely recommend it."

"My family and I stayed at the Poet’s House while we were in the area for a wedding. This is one of the most peaceful and calming places I have ever been. I would love to stay here for a week or longer. It was so clean, beautifully decorated, and made for readers. There are televisions, but we never even turned them on. "The floors werent as clean and there was some dust bunnies. The road outside was noisy even during the night. Having a daybed in the living room isn't comfortable sitting. Everything else okay. Weve stayed in many vrbos so our opinion is weighted by others. Great host, though."

"We love this place! The accommodations were great and the hosts and family were very friendly and nice. We enjoyed the whole experience of getting to know the horses and barn cats. They were all beautiful animals and very friendly and gentle. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We will definitely be back."

"What a great property! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to relax and also enjoy watersports. There was no major boat traffic so kids were able to kayak without me being worried about them being around big boats and a great safe place for us to ski & tube in the boat. Had everything you could want from a lakehouse! "

"Spent 4th of July week here. We very much enjoyed our time here. Location is great on the lake. Kids enjoyed the game room and jumping off the dock. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking inside or grilling outside. I highly recommend this home."

"My daughter and I stayed at this beautiful lakeside property for a long weekend while attending a wedding. The owners were awesome to work with and they have created such a lovely place to sit back and relax. I’m hopeful that I can return in the future and have more time to explore the surrounding area. "The property was clean and the photos were accurate. We enjoyed our stay. It had not been used in a while and it was past lake season so that could be expected. Dishes left in the dishwasher had mold. Starter supplies from the property management company were minimal and there were no left over condiments, food or supplies from previous renters. Note to property managers, there is damage to the dock, probably from Helene. We were refugees from the Asheville area immediately after Helene."

"We went to Elkin, NC to go on a winery tour and this was the perfect place to stay. Very roomy, clean and super cute!!! Tracy was a great host and very communicative!!! We were also given a free wine tasting within walking distance which was a very nice perk. Walt at the winery was great as well!!!
