"This is an excellent hotel with great staff and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent, and the hotel is located close to the Metro and a 15 minute walk to the main tourist centre. The hotel is in a busy area, so expect traffic noise - but this has been made significantly worse by the work to expand the Metro during the working day. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel! "

"Hotel is in desperate need of a FULL renovation, rooms are small and almost none amenities, breakfast was poor and served in a box. We stayed at room 305, the door dint close completely and we can see the light from the hallway it was disturbing to sleep. If you want to charge your mobile devices there was only one electric plug. No AC and during a hot summer night it was hard to sleep. Basically the only good thing is the location."

"Good breakfast. Asked the lady at reception to help me with selecting the right train station for taxi from the app. She selected the wrong one assuring me its correct. With taxi driver’s help who caught an error, we were able to get to the station ontime .Else we would have been late for our train. Staff should be more attentive . If doesnt know, better ask someone else . "

"The hotel was in the heart of the old historical district of Porto. We could walk to the historical sites. It was an easy 15 minute walk down hill to the Douro River but challenging to walk back uphill."

"We stayed at this venue for 4 days and enjoyed everything about it. The main castle building was beautiful, with it's antique furniture and decor. The grounds were also beautiful. We highly recommend this hotel. It is a family owned business and the owners make every effort to please their guests"
