"We had high hopes as we drove to the property. The Guesthouse is situated approximately 400 meters away from the road with a circuitous driveway leading to the entry. The foliage was amazing with monkeys flittering amongst the trees. Our room was as described but after 10 minutes in the room there was a heavy mildew odor in the air which seemed to get worse as our stay progressed. The room had no Air Conitioner as was advertised and the private bathroom was no more than a closet with a sliding door which had fallen off of its track, and I was unable to put it back on its track. The room did have a ceiling fan with 4 speeds, but the only ones which worked were either, high, or off. When we used it the sound was like an airplane taking off. We were supposed to spend two days here but we called it quits and left very early the next morning. I do not like leaving poor reviews but unfortunately Royston Hall did not work for us. "

"The property is a very luxurious and new building. The suites are well appointed and the bathroom is huge. The sea views are breathtaking and one can walk straight onto the secluded beach. We felt safe with the security and the area seems safe too. We have travelled the world and would rate this as one of the best luxury stays we have had. The host, Alida was so welcoming and ensured we had a great fresh baked breakfast."

"The location and setting was perfect, very tranquil and peaceful. Enjoyed the walk around the picturesque golf course. Just what we wanted for the 4 night long weekend. Hotel, restaurant and golf club staff were very accommodating, polite, keen and very patient. However the Spa service was poor, no communication as to the treatment requirements or during the actual treatment, probably the worst massage I have had. The time period for the treatment was supposed to be 50 minutes but the masseuse left quietly after 35 minutes. Wouldn't recommend the Spa if visiting this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable but does require some maintenance throughout. The hotel breakfast was spot on, but did have an issue with overcooked food for dinner, on the one night that we ate in the hotel restaurant, this was reported it to the head chef who assured us that the issue would be be investigated and rectified. The meals we had at the golf club house were found to be decent with no problems. Really enjoyed the facility and hotel ambience. "
