"Beautiful tiny house and lovely property with outdoor kitchen, hot tub. Gated home, they provided code to enter driveway + code to access key to get inside property. Nice decorative touches inside for a cozy experience. Location is lovely but is quite remote, at the top of a hill in the mountains. Was able to find on Google Maps. Be mindful of driving the roads to Villzaul- single winding road must be shared by incoming and outgoing traffic."

"We had a wonderful week in Costa Rica and this was the perfect home base. Conveniently located to the San Jose airport and day trips to Jaco for fun in the sun. We loved coming back to the house in the evening for pool side happy hour and grilling for dinner. Wonderful views of the Central Valley and cool night air provided a perfect setting to cast your cares away. Piet and Yvonne were wonderful hosts and I highly recommend this property."

"This villa offers everything you could desire. Beauty, comfort, atmosphere, luxury, art, birds and lovely garden. Pool and hot tub ensure relaxation and exercise. Elias as the caretaker and contact was perfect. Plan on a few days at the Villa without traveling everyday. Would recommend seeing Poás volcano and a trip to the beach at Jaco. Both very easy in a day trip. Many very good places to eat in the town of Atenas. "

"My husband and I enjoyed our 8 nights here. Peaceful and easy to just relax. Close to everything in town but secluded perch to enjoy your time away. Of course, Piet & Yvonne are amazing, we love staying at one of their properties. Only thing I would change is having the gardeners descend on the property for 4-5 hours one morning during our stay. "This was our first visit to beautiful Costa Rica. We stayed only a few days in San Jose before we ended our trip on the Pacific side.There were 7 of us traveling together for a family reunion and this hacienda was perfect for us! "This house is SO special. The art is stunning. Each room had a different feel and meets a different need. The kitchen was fully stocked for wonderful cooking experiences. The host and the staff were so kind, helpful, and welcoming. The six of us had dance parties, pool parties, dinner parties, lots of quiet time, and connection time. "Super host! Very communicative from start to finish. The accommodations were superb. The kids loved the pool area. We were all entertained with the outdoor living space. Everything easy and accessible in the kitchen, to allow for a lot of “at home” meal preparation. The bedrooms very comfortable, and wheelchair accessible (for my father). A gorgeous backyard garden with a strolling path for everyone, including my father. We will all be back!!"

Can get windy as it's up on a hill so bring ear plugs or white noise app if you're a light sleeper "
