"This was exactly as described, Massimo was very engaging and informative, he told the history around the house and surroundings, the place is quaint and cozy, (especially the little wood stove), it was exhilarating to come home to after visiting busy, noisy Florence and Venice, climbing the windy little road was an experience in itself, if you love peace and quiet this is the place. "This villa has beautiful views accross the valley. Weather was warm but changeable so the undercover eating area was very relaxing. Lots of room and well equipped. Pool lovely. "The house is very large on the outskirts of Lucca part way up a hillside in a forested setting, about 10 minutes from the Lucca wall. We enjoyed our two week stay there. "We stayed for 6 nights in early October. Unfortunately weather didn’t permit us to benefit fully from the outside property (rain). The villa is exactly like in the photos. There is plenty of room, and it is comfortably appointed. There are even screens in the windows which was a pleasant surprise! We visited beautiful spots using this as a home base. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient.
