"Not only was the property clean, easy to locate, walkable and quiet but the lady who runs the hotel is an absolute sweetheart. The breakfast she made us was better than a lot of the food I was eating at restaurants. I would recommend this stay to anyone. "

"We stayed for only one night in the private room. The room has more a homey than modern feel and that suits us fine. It is reasonably roomy as it has a sitting area with a small sofa and a single lounge chair. The beds are also comfortable. The location is great and very close to the Kintetsu Nara train station. We'll definitely consider staying there next time if we visit Nara again."

"This traditional Japanese in was a delight to stay in. The tatami room was a delight, the staff was very attentive and gracious. The location in Yoshino was very good for walking. The food was excellent and the hot springs provided perfect nightly relaxation."

"no heat at the building where shower room located. Luckily it was only a 15 second walk. there was only one bath towel left one time when my gf and i went for shower. no staff at the reception desk most of the time."

"Hirosawa was very welcoming but make sure you go to the right door! She took us to the room which was warm and looked comfortable, and made tea for us while explaining all about Nara (all the major temples/shopping etc are within a short walk). The ryokan facilities are relatively basic but that is probably the point of staying in one. The shower, however, was amazing and rarely have we slept in such comfortable beds. But the high point was the outstanding Japanese-style breakfast (costs extra)...
