"The most perfect stay. The staff really do make the resort what it is and made us feel so welcome from the first minute until the last. Perfect location for snorkelling and kayaking. The view from the treetop bure was breathtaking although certain aspects of the room were a little tired and needed updating but this didn’t affect the trip at all. Would happily return to Nanuya."

"Idyllic island escape in a beautiful, secluded part of the Yasawa Islands. Made for those wanting to relax, recharge and switch off from the wider world. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful in a wholly authentic way. The bures were extremely comfortable though were missing some inner curtain/blinds for added privacy (it felt that people could see inside quite easily - one small improvement we'd recommend!). Note there's no WiFi connection in the bures if this bothers you - you just have to go to the restaurant area for your connectivity. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Fiji islands looking to relax and recharge. "

"We had 4 nights in Navotua villageIt was the highlight of our 3 week holiday Mele looked after our every need and genuinely cared for my husband who arrived at the stay with fish poisoning.We really felt the village surrounded him with love. Luckily he was able to see the doctor and avoided hospital. The Bure on the beach was perfect for rehabilitation,breezy,clean and comfortable. We had meals with a different family each time,always fresh and tasty,plenty of papaya and local delicacies.One time we even had lobster.The local crabs, custard pie and real coffee were the best. We made the most of the activities on offer. But best of all were the friendships we made with these beautiful people and the generosity of sharing their culture with us.Buka vinaka."

The amount of detail and preparation achieved in each area of the property, such as delicious food, entertainment, activities, and the overall appearance of the property. "This is a small resort owned and run by Fijian family. It's very authentic, quiet and has beautiful settings. However it's not a "western style type resort." This is kinda like glamping with meals cooked for you. All you do is relax and enjoy the scenery :-) The bures are spacious and built in traditional Fijian style, including bathroom. Simple but practical. Minifridge was an unexpected bonus. We didn't find any insect throughout our 4 night stay. Our neighbours though had a cockroach and some spiders visited them. But that's expected even in higher end places in this tropical environment. Food was delicious and so well presented. They collect rain water which is safe to drink (we were fine but for our kid we treated it with tablets or bought bottled water). Free wifi by the main building. The trip to Blue Lagoon was a highlight. Best snorkelling spot, so many fish! ($40fjd) The trip to the caves is worth doing too. It's about 40 min boat ride one way and it can get bumpy. ($125 fjd) We really enjoyed our stay at Nabua Lodge. We will definitely be back!"

"We enjoyed the island, it was beautiful. The food was good and plentiful but got fed the same things over and over. We knew what to expect from a homestay but we found that there was nothing to do except snorkle without paying for activity fees. So bring lots of cash! We expected to be asked for school donation and we did, but was not ok with being asked for donating to their family directly. We felt that paying for the homestay fee and for the activities was sufficient. But it was uncomfortable to be constantly told how much money they needed (this was just one individual doing this) Most everyone else was lovely. So try it out but be aware. Oh... and there was no kava ceremony or cultural activities unless you request and pay. "

"Great location for relaxing and access to good snorkelling. Friendly welcome with family feel vibe from the helpful staff. Good flexibility around activities on offer. Lovely room presentation on arrival. Nice food and good value for money. Good discount on return travel to the mainland via the 'Seabus'. The only weak aspect was our shower leaked hot water so the shower wasn't running as warm as it should."
